How to Apply
Prospective students may apply to the M.S. in biomedical engineering program online, via the Ohio University Office of Graduate Studies (program code: MS7265). In the professional or vocational plans portion of the application, which is required, please indicate your research interests and two to three faculty members with whom you wish to conduct research.
The GRE General Exam is recommended for everyone and is required unless applicants have a B.S. in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
An undergraduate "B" (3.0/4.0) average or the equivalent is required. An official application, complete with certified transcripts, is needed to decide admission or financial assistance. For international students, the Office of Graduate Studies translates international grading systems to the Ohio University system.
February 1 is the deadline for priority financial assistance. March 1 is the deadline for international applications without financial assistance for a fall start. This allows plenty of time to receive an I-20 and a visa. Production of an I-20 will not be rushed for a late applicant.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents can apply as late as two months prior to the start of the semester. However, such a late applicant is unlikely to receive financial assistance.
