Cross-college collaboration nets NSF grant for diabetes research

Two members of the biomedical engineering program faculty, Cindy Marling and Frank Schwartz, are key components on a research team that recently received a $350,000 grant from the National Science Foundation for work on predicting blood glucose levels in Type 1 diabetes patients.
Marling is an associate professor of computer science in the Russ College of Engineering and Technology. Schwartz is a professor of endocrinology in the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
