Requirements

Noncredit courses do not require an admissions application. Anyone can take courses as long as they have a high school diploma or GED. Simply find the course or certificate program you wish to complete and register online.

In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet (a normal dial-up connection will work, but high-speed Internet access is recommended). You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don't have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat.

All required materials are included unless indicated (Legal Studies programs are an exception). The cost of materials is NOT included in the cost of the course for Legal Studies programs and Exam prep.

Upon successfully finishing the program, you'll be awarded a certificate of completion from Ohio University. You must obtain a final passing grade of 78% or greater to be awarded a certificate.

Schedule

Most of our programs are all open-enrollment, which means you can register and start the program within 48 hours. Legal Studies online programs and Ed2Go courses have set start dates, however. Ed2Go courses usually start the second or third Wednesday of each month. Legal Studies courses run every eight weeks. All of our programs are delivered entirely online (unless indicated for DVD or print-based formats), so you never have to go to a class or travel to Ohio University.

Each student is paired up with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance via email.

Registration

Please browse our courses to see what we have to offer. Payment is expected at the time of registration. If your company will be paying for the course or you have qualified for aid, please email (elearning@ohio.edu) a copy of your approval forms to our office. You cannot begin your course until we receive payment or assurance of payment. Payment methods accepted online are: VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover as well as echeck.

Fees and Financial Aid

Each program cost varies from $100 for an individual course up to $1,900 for a full certificate program. Please review course descriptions for material and instructional fees.
