Focus Areas (Tracks) In Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

The Chemical Engineering program has always included a variety of technical electives to help students build a breadth and depth of technical knowledge beyond the core courses. These include courses in other engineering disciplines, science, and mathematics.

Now, students can receive formal acknowledgment on their transcripts if they choose to focus their technical electives to build depth in their knowledge of biological systems and engineering, energy and the environment, or materials science and engineering. The three new tracks are:

These tracks exist alongside the traditional Chemical Engineering track. The degree in Chemical Engineering at Ohio University is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology programs (ABET).
