Proctortrack announces fee increase for Fall 2022

Proctortrack, Ohio University’s online proctoring vendor, has announced a price increase for online proctoring beginning on Aug. 22, 2022.

Automated proctoring, which uses artificial intelligence to monitor students during exams, will cost $6 per student per test. Live proctoring, which includes a human proctor to follow up on suspicious activity during exams, will increase to $15 per student per test. Prices will remain at their current rates through the summer semester.

Students are required to pay proctoring fees prior to taking each exam. If you plan to use Proctortrack for a fall class and have already added exam pricing information to your syllabus or the textbook system, please update the prices accordingly.

If you would like to explore alternatives to high-stakes exams that require online proctoring, please contact the IT Service Desk. To learn more about Proctortrack, visit Online Proctoring: Proctortrack.

The Office of Information Technology has signed a contract to continue with Proctortrack for one additional year. If you would like to provide feedback on the future of online proctoring at Ohio University, consider joining the Teaching and Learning Advisory Community. The group meets monthly to collect feedback from stakeholders and to discuss innovation and trends in teaching and learning.
