New for summer and fall: Call COVID Operations for all COVID-19 concerns

In preparation for a much more normal fall semester, OHIO COVID Operations has streamlined some of its COVID-19-related services.

Throughout the 2020-21 academic year, OhioHealth has operated Ohio University’s COVID-19 Hotline, answering questions about symptoms, exposure, and testing, and providing clinical case management for OHIO students, faculty, and staff affected by the virus on any OHIO campus. This service was invaluable as the University navigated the peaks of the pandemic, but sometimes required that OHIO community members stay in contact with both organizations to remain in compliance or access services.

Beginning with this summer semester, COVID Operations will be a one-stop shop for all COVID-19 guidance. OHIO community members with questions or concerns about symptoms, exposure, protocols, compliance, and testing will call COVID Operations’ team of COVID Campus Liaisons (CCLs), who will connect them with the appropriate resources. The CCLs are available by phone (740-566-8445) and email (COVIDoperations@ohio.edu) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.

In addition to calling COVID Operations, OHIO community members who have tested positive for COVID-19, who are experiencing symptoms, or who have been exposed to a COVID-positive person should follow the University’s COVID-19 Protocol: Positive, Symptomatic or Exposed.
