CLDC to host Grad School Fair on Oct. 17

Ohio University’s Career and Leadership Development Center (CLDC) will host its second annual Grad School Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Baker University Center 240/242.

All students who are considering furthering their education can explore graduate programs from throughout the region, learn about opportunities available in their interest area, and meet recruiters in one convenient location.

Representatives from schools all across the region, including many of Ohio University’s graduate programs, will be in attendance to share valuable information about their offerings.

The universities and colleges currently scheduled to attend include:

  • Across the Pond–Study in Britain
  • American Institute of Alternative Medicine
  • Antioch University Midwest
  • Case Western Reserve University
  • Duquesne University
  • Midwestern University
  • Ohio Dominican University
  • Ross University School of Medicine

Erika Peyton, assistant director for employer relations and marketing within the CLDC, encourages students planning to attend this informational fair to research the schools and programs in advance and come prepared with questions for recruiters. Those attending can find an updated list by logging into their Bobcat CareerLink account.

Last year was the first-ever Grad School Fair at Ohio University, with about 30 graduate school programs and more than 170 students in attendance.

“As a department, we are trying to make sure that we are providing events and programming that serves the needs of all students,” Peyton said. “The grad fair, along with other [CLDC] events, is an effort to create events that would meet the needs of a broader range of students.”

The Career and Leadership Development Center offers students and alumni great professional opportunities for career exploration, leadership skill development and employment services. Visit the CLDC website for more information.
