Celebrate spring semester with the Women’s and LGBT centers

Both the LGBT Center and the Women’s Center at Ohio University have many events and opportunities to attend or get involved with during spring semester.  

“All of the programs are mission related to educating or empowering women in terms of equality,” said Susanne Dietzel, director of the Women’s Center.

Spring semester office hours for the LGBT and Women’s Centers are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stay tuned for more upcoming information regarding spring semester events, and visit ohio.edu/lgbt for further information.

Women’s Center “Queer Women in Film” Film Series-

January 28 - “Incredibly True Adventures of 2 Women in Love “will be shown from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Baker University Center Room 403.

February 5 - Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day featuring Kenyon Farrow at 7 p.m. in Baker Center Theater.

February 19 - “A Call To Men with Tony Porter.” This event will consist of a workshop and keynote address engaging ending men's violence against women.

Casting Call for “The Vagina Monologues”-

  • On January 14 from 7 to 9 p.m. and January 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. (Women's Center, Baker 403), The Women’s Center will be holding open auditions for The Vagina Monologues. Anyone living their lives as a woman is welcome to audition. Those interested should prepare a 1 minute monologue or story of their choice, and should be a minimum of 18 years-old.
