11 Fest, an all-day musical festival, is meant to be fun, but it is important to remember some safety tips before attending!
Do not drive if you are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Do not get into any vehicle alone.
Always be with a friend at 11 Fest. Use the buddy system!
Be Smart, Be Civil, Be Safe.
Don’t drive intoxicated.
Know your limits.
Drink plenty of water.
Take care of each other, and intervene if you see another Bobcat in harm's way.
11 Fest Shuttle Buses will pick up passengers at the North End of Court Street in front of Yiannis Carry Out and in the large parking lot across from the Ping Center, near South Green. Buses will run from noon to festival close. Return shuttles from 11 Fest will drop off at the Athens County Fairgrounds on Union Street starting at 7 p.m. If you choose to drive to the site, carpool with a designated driver. On-site parking is $10. Cars may be left overnight if you need to ride the shuttle home. Cars must be removed by 1 p.m. Sunday.
11 Fest organizers offer this additional list of safety do's and don'ts:
Dress appropriately — it could be hot, it could be wet, it could be muddy.
Bring cash for food and nonalcoholic drinks. Vendors will be at 11 Fest.
Bring pop-up/Easy Up Tents — it's nice to have some shade. No tent stakes!
Ask for help if you need it. Police, fire and EMS personnel will be around.
Bring glass bottles.
Bring weapons. Bring a smile and a good attitude.
Fight — you may be removed from 11 Fest.
Wear sandals! You will lose them and cut your feet. Wear shoes.
Forget why you are here: to have fun safely and responsibly.
