University Communications and Marketing (UCM) has launched a new department website to serve as a resource hub for any university communications questions.
"We designed this website to be a useful starting point for understanding the services we provide and how best to work with us whether the topic is communicating with the media, branding, design or crisis communication," said Renea Morris, executive director of UCM.
The website makes UCM's wide range of services more accessible to potential clients. Both expert and novice communicators at OHIO will find useful information.
"Many people at the University are not aware of the breadth of services offered by UCM," said Morris. "Using a client-centered approach, we provide an array of services including communications consulting, photography, video, design, writing and editing."
In addition to assisting users in determining what UCM products best fulfill their communication needs, clicking on the “Get Started” icon will initiate a project request, ensuring they are connected to the relevant UCM personnel.
"Communicating to the University, regional and national media is an important and sometimes daunting task, and people are often uncertain where to start," said Kelley Finan, director of marketing and external communications. "The website is a guide to help our internal clients determine what services they need."
Visitors to the website can explore UCM's areas of expertise as well as see samples of its work. A helpful FAQ guides users to content or personnel who can serve them best.
"UCM helps elevate OHIO’s profile through a wide range of communication projects, whether it's promoting a lecture to the Athens campus or a faculty expert to the nation," said Morris. "This website makes it easier for our clients to connect with us so we can work better together at achieving their goals."
With University Communications and Marketing's new website, it has never been easier for the OHIO community to contact and collaborate with the external relations team.
