Ohio University President Roderick J. McDavis was recently appointed to serve on the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Executive Committee.
"I look forward to taking on a leadership role in the Mid-America Conference," McDavis said. "Serving on the executive committee will provide me a unique opportunity to evaluate policy, practice, initiatives, and innovations that continue to strengthen the role that intercollegiate athletics play in supporting universities’ educational missions."
On the committee, McDavis joins John Dunn, Western Michigan University; Jo Ann Gora, Ball State University; and John Peters, Northern Illinois University. He is replacing Carol Cartwright of Bowling Green State University.
The MAC is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college athletic conference with member institutions in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and New York.
