Policy and Procedure

The Policy and Procedure Committee shall address the relationship between administrators and the University as an employer. In particular, the committee shall review, study, and recommend Administrative Senate action regarding such matters as performance, evaluation, and policies and procedures that affect the ability of administrators to function in their positions.

Policy Review Process

Policy proposals or reviews can be initiated by Administrative Senate, by request from administrators, or by request from University leadership. The Senate works to collect feedback from relevant stakeholders, with a particular focus on administrative constituents. This feedback is then synthesized and anonymized for evaluation. Synthesized results inform the Senate’s final recommendations for policy changes. The Senate then works through the appropriate channels with leadership and/or different units to implement those recommendations and advocate for administrative staff.

Any administrative policy or any procedure that impacts Ohio University administrators is considered in-scope for Administrative Senate review.
