Ohio University will implement new processes and forms for facility project requests and approvals on November 13. All units, departments, colleges, divisions, and individuals who wish to initiate a capital project at OHIO will begin utilizing a comprehensive, online Project Initiation Form (PIF) and process. The PIF process will integrate with a revised Project Approval Request (PAR) process, coordinated by project managers and the respective project team, for projects with a budget of $100,000 or more. A detailed summary of the changes is presented below.

Project Initiation Form (PIF)

• New electronic form created to initiate capital projects

• One place to submit all project requests

• New system that provides electronic workflow capabilities to help streamline processing

• New process ensures consistent roles are approving the initiation of capital projects across the institution

• New comprehensive process with defined roles ensures project requests are routed to the appropriate administrative unit

Project Authorization Request (PAR)

• New form created to receive approval for capital projects over $100,000

• New system that provides customizable electronic workflow capabilities to help streamline approvals

• New process ensures consistent roles are approving capital projects across the institution
