Museum Studies Certificate Program taking applications for 2017-18

Program open to undergraduate and graduate students

The Ohio University Museum Studies Certificate Program in the School of Art + Design is taking applications for its 2017-18 cohort.

The interdisciplinary and competitive program is open to junior and senior undergraduates (by Fall Semester 2017) and graduate students from most academic majors.

According to the program’s website, applications for the upcoming school are reviewed on a rolling basis. However, students that apply by the end of March are given priority.

The courses are taught by Kennedy Museum of Art Director Ed Pauley and KMA Curator of Education Sally Delgado.

Pauley helped create the certificate program after being involved in a similar project while he lived in Fargo, North Dakota.

"We want to stress that the program is designed for students across campus regardless of what their discipline is, because there are as many museum types as there are disciplines," Pauley said.
