Hilltopper Resource Center receives generous donation from Kunzleman family

The Hilltopper Resource Center at Ohio University Chillicothe has recently received a generous donation from the local Kunzleman family. Ed Kunzleman, husband of the late JoAnn Kunzleman, donated many of JoAnn’s clothes as well as racks to hang the items.

JoAnn, who recently passed away, opened Ivy’s Home & Garden in downtown Chillicothe in November of 1998 and had many items in her home after she sold the store. Many items were new and/or gently used and has filled a need for the newly established Hilltopper Resource Center for the campus.

The Hilltopper Resource Center supplies appropriate attire for job interviews and/or work/internship placement as well as food and toiletries for students in need. Many faculty, staff, and students as well as several organizations and individuals in the community have donated resources to the Center.

Prior to her death, JoAnn along with other women business owners worked to make Chillicothe downtown an area of pride to shop. JoAnn was honored by our regional campus in March 2019 during Women’s History month for her contributions to downtown Chillicothe.

Ohio University Chillicothe would like to extend a special thank you to Ed Kunzleman and his family for their continued support and help with fulfilling this need for our students.

The Hilltopper Resource Center is located in room 19 of Bennett Hall. For more information or to inquire about donations, please contact the Chillicothe campus’s Veteran Services Office at 740.772.7730.
