Welcome and thank you for your interest in The Ohio University Foundation.
Our mission is simple: inspire meaningful investment in Ohio University by building relationships that transform lives. With the unwavering support of alumni and friends, we continue to fulfill that mission every day. From scholarships, fellowships, and professorships to academic program support and facility upgrades, your gifts help secure the promise of Ohio University.
Since its inception in 1945, The Ohio University Foundation has been an active partner in the University's mission of education, research, and service. The vital partnership between private philanthropy and public funding touches every part of the University today, helping us to achieve a margin of excellence for which tuition fees and public funding simply do not provide.
Ranked fourth in the nation for research return on investment by Forbes magazine, Ohio University offers unique opportunities for public and private partnerships. And with the governance of an independent Foundation Board of Trustees, I can assure you that your investment will be in good hands.
Last year, the University secured more than $36.6 million in private gifts that help to ensure the strength of Ohio University's mission and values. In April 2014, we surpassed The Promise Lives Campaign's $450 million goal, 14 months ahead of the June 30, 2015 deadline. By June 30, 2014, the University had secured $462.4 million during the Campaign in support students, faculty, programs, outreach and select facilities. While there are many donors whose charities humble me, I want to highlight a few recent transformational gifts (click on the name for additional information):
|Fritz J. and Dolores H. Russ||Russ College of Engineering and Technology||$114 million|
|Osteopathic Heritage Foundation||Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine||$105 million|

|Scripps Howard Foundation||Scripps College of Communication||$15 million|
|Walter Family Foundation||Intercollegiate Athletics||$10 million|

I encourage to you explore our website and learn how you can help us continue to offer the best student-centered learning experience in the America.
