OHIO to host various activities during Sibs Weekend Feb. 3-5

Have you been missing your siblings while at college? Great news! Ohio University’s annual siblings’ weekend will take place Feb. 3-5 on the Athens campus. All siblings, whether older or younger, cousins, friends, and any family are welcome to come participate in this special weekend with students.

Ohio University will host different events throughout the weekend, offering siblings and those visiting an opportunity to embrace various fun experiences at OHIO.

The following is a sneak peak at some of the events taking place during the weekend:

Movies and Screenings:

The Athena Cinema will host screenings of the movie Step Brothers on Friday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Concerts and Performances:

There will be several performances held around campus including:

  • Apollo Night at The Baker Ballroom from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3 hosted by the Black Student Cultural Programming Board.
  • Chris Distefano: Right Move, Wrong Intention Tour, at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Theater on Friday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m.
  • F.A.C.E.S Fashion Show at the Baker University Center Theater from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.
  • Babyface Ray concert at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Theater on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 8 to 10 p.m., hosted by the Black Student Cultural Programming Board.

Social Events:

There will also be two social events sibs and visitors can participate in, including a campfire and stargazing event at The Ridges on Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 from 8 to 10:30 p.m. hosted by Outdoor Pursuits, and a scavenger hunt at the Third Floor Atrium in Baker University Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4.

In addition to these events, students and their sibs or visitors can attend the OHIO Men’s Basketball game against Miami University on Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Convocation Center. Tickets can be found here.
