Professional Counseling Student Australian Educational Program
This program will offer a unique opportunity for counseling students to see and experience mental health service delivery in a socialized medicine context, unique from what they experience in the US. In addition, the quality of school counseling in Australia is recognized world wide. Students will have an opportunity to see a much broader scope of practice by practicing school counselor service within their school setting. Students will also have the opportunity to learn from leading Australian authors in the counseling profession, per a recent publication entitled "The Practice of Counseling." Several of these authors will present material and speak with students during their time in the program in Australia.
