Ohio University's International Student Union will treat the campus to a pre-Thanksgiving treat this Saturday during the University's annual International Dinner at 7 p.m. in Baker Ballroom.
In one sitting, guests' taste buds can travel the world without leaving Athens. Patrons can feast on an appetizer from Nigeria, slurp Japanese soup and treat themselves to a Turkish desert before washing everything down with Taiwanese bubble tea.
The dinner not only is a gathering of different cultures, but also of different OHIO student organizations, making the theme "Taste the cultures: One Meal, One World" even more appropriate. This year's menu was created by 23 different organizations, which submitted recipes and then approved the proper ingredients.
For the first time in event history, guests can expect a show along with their meals. The International Dinner will kick-off with a 30-minute performance by the African Student Union and Indian Student Association before the cuisine is served.
Tickets for the International dinner are $5 for students and $7 for University faculty and staff and are available on the first floor of Baker University Center and the Walter International Education Center.
