The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education will host an Outreach Forum on fracking from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8 in in McCracken Hall 214A/B.
During the forum, experts will share their perspectives on the topic of injection wells and horizontal hydraulic fracturing and its impact on our communities.
Panelists will include Natalie Kruse, assistant professor of environmental studies at the Voinovich School; Nicolette Dioguardi, deputy general counsel in the Office of Legal Affairs; radio producer Sandra Sleight-Brennan; and Matt Starline, farmer for Starline Organics. Frans Doppen, Ohio University assistant professor of middle childhood and social studies education, will serve as moderator.
The event is open to the public and lunch will be provided.
