The 2013 Ohio University's Martin Luther King Jr. celebration was a success as students, faculty, staff and community members came together to remember the legacy of the late civil rights leader.
The University-sponsored events included: a prayer breakfast for religious leaders; a day of community service; a silent march and brunch; a speakout on diversity topics and a talent showcase.
The events were coordinated by the 2012-13 MLK Jr. Celebration Committee, which includes Ohio University faculty, staff, and students as well as Athens community members.
