The Ohio University Board of Trustees is searching for the next board secretary to replace Thomas Davis, who will retire from the position on June 30.
To prepare for a smooth transition, the Board of Trustees has formed a committee to conduct an internal search to identity a permanent replacement.
According to the job description, the ideal candidate for this half-time position will have extensive executive level experience, a minimum of five years of service at the University and a master's degree. The successful candidate will assume the position on July 1.
The Ohio University Board of Trustees oversees the work of the president and guides the administration in running the University.
Board secretary is a coveted position that makes this task possible by directing the overall operation of the Office of the Board of Trustees and by the providing the support necessary to enable trustees to fulfill their governance and fiduciary responsibilities.
