The Ohio University Alumni Association (OUAA) launched a revamped version of the Bobcat Store on Feb. 20. Included in the redesign are new products and photos with zoom capabilities, as well as a new checkout system.
“Overall the store is more dynamic, more user-friendly and better communicates OUAA's message to our alumni,” said OUAA’s Assistant Director for Strategic Partnerships Amy McKee.
This past holiday season was the most successful in the Bobcat Store’s history. More than 500 orders were placed in December 2011. Proceeds from the store support alumni programs and activities.
Originally created in April 2007, this is the site’s first redesign and is a result of increased site traffic and increased demand for OHIO products from alumni. The Bobcat Store continues to be the most visited area within OUAA’s online presence.
Products available on the site range from clothing and jewelry to graduation memorabilia and home items. Several items including: Keith Chapman jewelry and Rock Riffle Run Pottery, embossed with the OHIO logo, are available online exclusively through the Bobcat Store. Alumni can also browse several Affinity Shops, which include group-specific items.
In addition to the redesign, alumni will still be able to take advantage of the Deal of the Week. Each week features a select item or category of items that has been reduced in price or qualifies for free shipping. The item typically corresponds to an upcoming holiday or OHIO event and often spotlights new products.
