Ohio University will welcome its faculty and staff to the new academic year during the Faculty and Staff Convocation at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Walter Hall Rotunda.
The event will feature a welcome by 2011 Distinguished Professor Mark Halliday and a multimedia presentation of last year's faculty and staff achievements and highlights by University Communications and Marketing.
President Roderick J. McDavis will officially welcome all OHIO employees and open the academic year.
In his opening address to the faculty and staff, McDavis plans to discuss the 1804 Fund. As in previous years, this tradition will look to the past and embrace the future.
