Tickets on sale for Jim Dine exhibit preview

Celebrate internationally renowned artist and alumnus' new exhibit July 7


Tickets are on sale for the July 7 preview of the exhibition "Jim Dine: Sculpture and Large Prints" at the Ohio University Kennedy Museum of Art from 7-9 p.m.

Tickets are $25, and there are several options to obtain them.

Kennedy Museum of Art is also offering a special package to the event for $100. It includes two tickets to the exhibition preview, two drink tokens and a year's individual membership to the museum.

This unique exhibition preview features:

  • 13 sculptures and 19 large prints by featured artist Dine

  • Music by Jorma Kaukonen, member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

  • Fine specialty food, drinks and cash bar (1 drink token provided with a ticket)

  • Launch of a collaborative community project "HeArts and Arts" to celebrate Athens as Ohio’s HeARTland by sharing Art from your HeArt.

Dine is an internationally renowned artist and Ohio University alumnus. Together with Claes Oldenburg, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Dine helped define the Pop Art movement, which transformed the art world and the history of art.

The exhibition will run from July 8 – Nov. 27 at Kennedy Museum of Art. It is part of a yearlong celebration of the College of Fine Arts' 75th anniversary.
