Ohio University's Templeton Scholars will discuss poverty during their annual junior year research project at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, in Morton Hall room 127.
Their presentation, which is titled, "Unlocking the Face of Poverty in Athens County," will examine the many dimensions of poverty that exist in Athens County and how Ohio University students are connected to it. The students hope to redefine poverty for students as well as raise awareness to the problems that exist in Athens County.
The Templeton Scholars have researched this topic and met regularly this quarter to prepare for this presentation.
The event is free and open to the public.
