Cadets of the Air Force ROTC will hold a 24-hour vigil on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, outside of the fourth floor entrance of Baker University Center.
The vigil is being held to honor the men and women who have served in the armed forces. It will begin on Thursday at midnight and end on Friday at midnight. The university will be closed on Thursday in observance of the holiday.
A display table will serve as the center of the vigil and will feature an American flag, candles and the POW/MIA flag that represents prisoners of war and soldiers missing in action.
Each hour during the vigil, a rose will be placed on the display to symbolize veterans, POWs and those who have lost their lives in the military.
The vigil is open to the public for observation and to those who want to pay their respects.
