• Board of Trustees holds summer meeting - The Board of Trustees discussed student housing and research in their June meeting.

• Kids on Campus focuses on Athens youth - Summer program gave children an opportunity for fun and education.
• OU Press launches 'wayward comic artist' into spotlight - New book highlights sketchbook selections by local illustrator Sandy Plunkett.
• Performing Arts Series announces 2010-11 season - Broadway musicals, speakers, bands and acrobats are coming to Athens.

• Steve Skidmore takes helm of WOUB engineering - Skidmore takes over post formerly held by David Wiseman for more than 30 years.
  
• Former campus police officer recovering from lightning hit - Former OHIO police officer was presented with the Coolville Lions Club Humanitarian Award.
  
• Kennedy Museum of Art shares weavings across continents - A portion of the museum’s collection of Navajo weavings will be exhibited in Guatemala and Bolivia.
  
• FEMA grant will fund purchase of Safe-T-sensors for microwaves - New smoke sensors for microwaves in residence halls to save city thousands of dollars.
