Subject: Don’t Forget to Apply for Graduation! - Fall Semester 2026-27

Dear Bobcat,

Our records show that you have not successfully submitted a graduation application for Fall Semester 2026-27. If you plan to complete all requirements and graduate this semester, you must apply by Monday, September 28, 2026. If you do not plan to graduate this semester, no action is needed.

Did you know graduation is not automatic? You must apply to graduate for your degree, major, minor, or certificate to be awarded, even if you are not planning to participate in a commencement ceremony. The deadline to apply for Fall Semester 2026-27 graduation is Monday, September 28, 2026.

If you plan to complete all requirements to graduate this fall semester, please apply for graduation as soon as possible. If you do not apply by Monday, September 28, but still need to graduate this fall, you will be charged a $100 late application for graduation fine. Alternatively, you may apply next semester to avoid the $100 late application fee; however, doing so will delay your graduation to the next semester.

To apply for graduation visit your MyOHIO Student Center. For detailed instructions and additional graduation information, please visit the graduation website.

Once you have successfully applied for graduation, you will receive confirmation via email. If you have already received an email with your confirmation, then your application is complete. If a confirmation email has not yet arrived, you have not completed your graduation application and your degree, major, minor, or certificate will not be awarded for this semester. Please review your application to make sure all required steps are completed. If you have any questions, please contact the University Registrar’s Office at graduation@ohio.edu or 740.593.4196.

Any applicable graduation application fees will be charged to your student account after the successful submission of your application. Note that fees might not appear immediately, and many undergraduate students’ graduation fees are included in the OHIO Guarantee fee rate. If you do see fees assessed, you must pay them through your MyOHIO Student Center. Payment is not required at the time of application, but failure to pay any fees assessed to your account could create delays in receiving your diploma.
