Jordan Wagner

Jordan Wagner earned his B.A. in Public Relations (with a minor in Interpersonal Communication and a Certificate of International Studies) from Indiana University – South Bend in August 2011. He then went on to earn his M.A. in Communication Studies from Texas State University in May 2013, (with a certificate in Organizational Communication and Training). To date, Wagner’s research has been on instructional communication, leadership, and learning and development.
While at Texas State, he served as a teaching assistant and instructor of record for the Fundamentals of Human Communication course as well as a coach in the Communication Laboratory, which provided students with individual mentoring on their presentation skills. After Texas State, Wagner entered the corporate realm as a training/learning specialist in the oil and gas world and later transitioned to a large tax credit law firm. On top of his full-time work, Wagner was an adjunct instructor at the University of Houston – Downtown for his first two years after graduate school. He has taught Introduction to Communication and Business and Professional Communication as an adjunct instructor. In addition to those roles, Wagner also operates his own independent consulting firm.
Outside of his academic interests, he is an avid lover of animals, vinyl records, concerts, motorcycling and classic automobiles. Sitting around a fire-pit and chatting with friends would be an ideal Friday night in his life. He is exceptionally honored to be at Ohio University and is looking forward to exploring Southeastern Ohio’s wonderful and winding motorcycle excursions.
