Dean of Students Office
Students are the heart of Ohio University. In the Office of the Dean of Students, we advocate for students, coordinate response to student crisis, and provide outreach and engagement to parents and families. We advance the university mission of supporting the intellectual and personal development of our students through ongoing advocacy and care.
We are here to support those with concerns or crisis related to a student, or for a parent, family or student looking for basic needs support like food assistance, bill assistance, emergency funding, and more.
If students would like to consult about planning a protest, they can call the Dean of Students office at 740.593.1800 for support and information.
Meet the Dean of Students
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Dean of Students for Ohio University. As a social worker and advocate for students, I prioritize practical and compassionate solutions to ensure all students complete their degrees and achieve their goals.
I was a first-generation college student who struggled to know the resources and supports while at college and do not want anyone to miss opportunities like I did. I want our Bobcats to know about the numerous staff, faculty, and peer leaders here on campus to help them on their OHIO journey. Please reach out if I can help you. We are in this together and I am here to help students navigate every aspect of college life.
Sincerely,
Kathy A Fahl, MSW
