Discount concert tickets available for OHIO students

Concert on the Lancaster Campus will feature Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Amanda Shires

Ohio University students from any campus are eligible for discounted tickets to the Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit with Amanda Shires show at Ohio University Lancaster’s Wagner Theatre on Nov. 2.

The Lancaster Festival and Ohio University Lancaster recently agreed to expand their relationship beyond the traditional summer musical events that made use of the outdoor resources of the campus for more than 25 years. The two organizations are going to work together to bring up and coming artists in the fall and spring to the Lancaster Campus’ indoor venue, the 500-seat Wagner Theatre.

Isbell and the band are known for their country-infused folk music. Isbell is a guitar player from Alabama, whose songs have recently been about how the economic downturn impacted his part of the country. Singer and songwriter Shires will open for Isbell.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Isbell is on tour supporting the release of the album "Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit Live From Alabama." Tickets are on sale now and are available online at www.lancasterfestival.org or by calling 1-800-LAN-FEST (536-3378). Reserved seats are $20 in advance, $15 for Ohio University students (Ohio University email address must be used when ordering). Tickets will be $25 on sale at the door.
