Meet Distinguished Professor Charles Smith

In honor of his Distinguished Professor Lecture on Feb. 18, part of the Founders Day celebrations, Distinguished Professor Charles Smith discusses his teaching, his plays and his passion.

Charles Smith is a renowned playwright, and professor of playwriting in the School of Theater. He has been a playwright in residence at the Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago for a number of years.
 

Distinguished Professor Lecture

Distinguished Professor Charles Smith will present his Distinguished Professor Lecture on Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Margaret M. Walter Hall Rotunda. The lecture is titled "Helen Keller, Aliens, and WikiLeaks: How Theatre Helps Define Our Place in the World."
