Faculty, staff invited to sign up for new program offered by OHIO’s Diabetes Institute

All Ohio University faculty and staff are invited to learn more about the ENGAGE program offered by the Diabetes Institute in OHIO’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

ENGAGE is an 8-week, in-person program designed to empower individuals with diabetes to work with their health care teams and enable them to live well with diabetes. 

Topics for the upcoming program will include:

  • Healthy coping with diabetes
  • Making goals that make a difference
  • Enjoying healthy foods
  • Finding ways to be active
  • Understanding your diabetes medications
  • Managing stressful times
  • Preventing long term complications
  • Six month follow up assessment 

Classes will be held on Monday evenings from 5 – 7 p.m., beginning on Jan. 29 and continuing through March 18 at the Athens Community Center. For more information, please contact Hollie Goodell at goodellh@ohio.edu
