This experience will become a part of you — forever.
You can have it all here.
At Ohio University, we believe that the college experience should deliver more than a diploma. We offer an experience that will stick with you for the rest of your life.
Without question, we take academics seriously. In fact, we are home to one of the most prestigious honors experiences in the nation and several highly-ranked academic programs. And, we have a laser focus on career success through internship and job placement programs as well as lifelong assistance from the most loyal and supportive alumni group on the planet.
We also like to have a little fun. Our students enjoy outdoor adventures in the adjacent national forest, 16 Division 1 athletic teams (including our conference’s No. 1 Men’s Basketball team!), and an incredible local food scene in Athens, the small but eclectic city that has been named the nation’s No. 1 College Town and is home to our residential campus.

The OHIO experience has shaped current students and alumni forever.
“To me, “Forever OHIO” means having a community of support that I can lean on even long after I graduate. It means having an unspoken bond with strangers in Bobcat gear that I pass in airports or on the street. It means having a place to call home, no matter how frequently I may move from city to city. To me, “Forever OHIO” means being more than just a student — it’s being a Bobcat, through and through."
“I didn't know OHIO was my forever home until sophomore year! I transferred last minute and fell in love once classes started.”
“To me, “Forever OHIO” means more than just being alumni of this institution; it means that no matter where I go or what I do, Athens will forever be my second home.”
“Forever OHIO” to me means that as long as I live, I’ll forever carry my OHIO pride with me. My loyalty lies with OHIO because of all the amazing opportunities it gave me. I hope I’m remembered for my pride in OHIO.”
"I knew OHIO would be with me forever the moment I stepped on campus!"
