OIT set a deadline of February 28th to move all  employees, retirees, emeriti, guests and grad students from Oak email and  Oracle Calendar to a new Microsoft Exchange email system.  To date, OIT has moved nearly 10,000 Oak  users to Exchange.  OIT will be working  closely with remaining Oak users over the next month to help them move to  Exchange so we can accomplish our goal of retiring Oak email and Oracle Calendar.

OIT has not set a date yet for shutting down Oak email  and Oracle Calendar, but we encourage you to contact the OIT Service Desk as  soon as possible at 740-593-1222 or servicedesk@ohio.edu to schedule your move to Exchange.  There  is a separate project underway for moving Oak web pages to a new system, and  more details on this project will be available soon on the OIT web site.

On the evening of February 28th, OIT will move all grad  students from Oak to Exchange.  Grad  students who want to copy their Oak email to Exchange can find instructions on  the Exchange web site http://www.ohio.edu/oit/email/exchange/gradstudents.cfm

There is a separate project underway to move  OU-COM Exchange users to the OIT Exchange system.  We have not set a date yet for this move, but  you can find project updates on this web page http://www.ohio.edu/oit/email/exchange/oucom-exchange.cfm.
