From staff reports
On Monday, July 29, Jenny Hall-Jones, associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, sent the following message to the University community calling for volunteers to help with fall semester move-in:
Dear OHIO faculty and staff,
The Division of Student Affairs coordinates faculty and staff volunteers to welcome incoming students and families to Ohio University during move-in days. Go Green Guides work on the campus greens to help ensure that the arrival of our new students is as efficient as possible. Go Green Guides also provide oversight of our returning student move-in helpers.
Volunteer shifts on these two days (Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23) are from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm and from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Go Green Guides will be provided with an official Go Green t-shirt, and will get the chance to meet and greet many wonderful people! As a Go Green Guide, we ask that you attend one of two short training sessions so that we can review the role of the guides as well as the associated duties and responsibilities.
Please sign up here: http://www.ohio.edu/housing/busops/gogreen.cfm
We would appreciate a commitment no later than Friday, August 9th. The following week you will receive further information regarding the date, time and location of the training session(s).
Thank you in advance for your consideration. Any help welcoming the new incoming students and families of Ohio University is appreciated!
