Audio Conferencing

Microsoft Teams includes the ability to create online meetings that include an audio conferencing dial-in number. This phone number can be used like a traditional audio conferencing bridge line. There is no charge for this service.


  • To create an audio conference: Full-time faculty, full-time administrative staff, full-time non-bargaining classified staff, full-time OUPD staff, and current students.
  • To join an audio conference: Anyone with a meeting's phone number and Conference ID.


  1. Open the Teams app or log into teams.ohio.edu with your OHIO email address and password. 

  2. In the left side navigation bar, click the Meetings icon. 

  3. Click Schedule a Meeting at the bottom of the left column. 

  4. Fill out your meeting’s details and invite at least one other person. 

  5. If you are eligible to use audio conferencing, a phone number and Conference ID will appear near the bottom of the meeting summary screen:

  6. During the audio conference, you will need to be logged into Teams in order to admit participants to the audio conference when they attempt to join.

Ad Hoc Conference Calls

Using a university telephone, you can add up to 16 participants to any active call. Instructions can be found in the Conferencing section of your phone's feature guide.
