A word about corporate sponsorship.
- Even if you can't walk, you can still get sponsors and raise money for the March of Dimes. Call 1-800-686-2569 and
volunteer to help register walkers or serve refreshments
on Sunday, May 15, WalkAmerica Day. Another good way to
help is to sponsor someone who is walking.
A rundown of volunteer activities on WalkAmerica Day is as follows:
How can I help if I can't walk?
- 8:30 a.m. to noon -- Coordination and Set Up
- 9 a.m. to noon -- Hoopla/Food, Tables, Chairs
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- General Registration
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- Home Base Assistants
- 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. -- Checkpoint Duty
- Noon to 3 p.m. -- Finish/Food and Teardown
