Catmail

If you forget your Catmail password, you can reset it online (until the May 18, 2013 upgrade starts) at:

https://account.live.com/password/reset

OHIO ID

If you have secret challenge questions set up for your OHIO ID, then you can reset your password online at:

https://access.ohio.edu/selfcare

You will need to know your OHIO ID. If you have forgotten both your OHIO ID and password, please contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@ohio.edu.

If you do not have secret challenge questions set up, then you will need to email the Service Desk at servicedesk@ohio.edu or present a photo ID at one of the locations listed below:

Athens Campus student password reset locations

• Service Desk - HDL Center, 3rd Floor
• Technology Depot, 112 Baker Center

Regional Campus student password reset locations

• Eastern: Shannon Hall, Room 227 - Eastern Campus Lab Annex
• Chillicothe: Stevenson Center - Help Desk
• Lancaster: Herrold Hall, Brasee Hall, Student Services
• Southern: Academic Center Building, Room 210 - Open Computer Lab
• Zanesville: Elson Hall, Room 102 - Help Desk
  

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff OHIO ID passwords cannot be reset over the phone.  

If you have secret challenge questions set up for your OHIO ID, then you can reset your password online at:

https://access.ohio.edu/selfcare

You will need to know your OHIO ID. If you have forgotten both your OHIO ID and password, please contact the Service Desk.

If you do not have secret challenge questions set up, then you will need to bring a photo ID to one of the following locations:

Athens Campus

• Technology Depot - Baker Center 112
  
• Service Desk - HDL Center 3rd floor
• If your department has a technician assigned to it, that individual also can reset your password for you.
  

Regional Campuses

• Eastern: Shannon Hall, Room 227 - Eastern Campus Lab Annex
• Chillicothe: Bennett Hall - Computer Lab
• Lancaster: Herrold Hall, Brasee Hall, Student Services
• Southern: Academic Center Building, Room 210 - Open Computer Lab
• Zanesville: Elson Hall, Room 102 - Help Desk

There is an alternate procedure available for resetting account passwords if you are not within the service areas identified above. Please contact the Service Desk at 740-593-1222 or email servicedesk@ohio.edu.
