Phi Kappa Psi was founded on philanthropic ideals and here at Ohio University we strive to better our university, the Athens community, as well the communities in our own hometowns. Each year we set a goal of 500 community service hours by doing various activities such as blood drives, Can Castle, and other organization's philanthropy events. In winter of 2008 we hosted the first annual Can Castle event in which teams build a castle out of canned goods that each team collected. At the end of the event over 900 pounds of food were donated to the Athens County Food Bank.
