Intervention Team

Intervention Teams have been formed nationwide to ensure a safe, caring, and secure learning environment for everyone.  This requires a proactive community approach to behavioral threat assessment.

Student Review Consultation Committee

Ohio University is committed to maintaining a safe environment in which students can pursue their academic and personal goals.  If a student's behavior causes concerns or potentially endangers his or her own welfare or that of others in the community, the Student Review and Consultation Committee (SRCC) may intervene as a safeguard for everyone involved.

The role of the SRCC is to serve as an advisory and consultative board to help the committee respond rapidly to an expressed concern about a student or to critical or emergency situations involving students.  It also serves as a conduit to other helpful university and community services.

Anyone in the university community can file an incident or concern by emailing the Director of Public Safety at or calling 740-588-1397 or by emailing the Associate Dean at or calling 740-588-1506.
