During the renovations of our library, below is information on how we will continue to serve our students.
Finding us: library operations have moved out of Herrold Hall completely. Tracey and Amy have relocated to West 112 and will provide all circulation-related services from there. I’ll be working out of Elson 135.
Borrowing physical materials: Our local collection will not be available during the renovation process. All borrowing of library materials will go through the other OU-system libraries and OhioLINK. The courier will deliver these items Monday through Thursday. Anticipate at least five business days for a requested item to arrive. Checkout continues to be contactless; items will be available for pick-up Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm outside of West 112.
Returning physical materials: book drops are located outside the east entrance to Elson and the north entrance to the West hallway. We will continue our current practice of emptying the drops once a week (Thursdays) as part of our quarantine procedures. This means returned items will be checked in once a week and might remain on your record for a few days after you make returns.
Open-access computers and study spaces: The library instruction lab (Herrold 103) continues to serve as an open-access space for research, study, etc. This space is available Monday-Thursday from 8amp5pm. Copying, printing, and scanning are available in this lab; copies and prints are at no-cost.
Parking lots and sidewalks: The contractor has established parking and storage areas in the lot south of Herrold Hall. The sidewalks nearest the blue USPS mailbox leading from the parking lot to Herrold and traveling west from the Herrold patio are closed.
