11/15/17 ALICE Training

Start Date: November 15, 2017
End Date: November 15, 2017

The Safety and Security Department at Ohio University Zanesville and Zane State College is hosting a community outreach on Wednesday, November 15, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Steven Gallagher and Steven Blake will discuss the topic of “Responding to Critical Incidents/ Active Shooter Situations.”

The presentation is open to the community and will be feature ALICE concepts which stand for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate to provide some insight on what the program offers.

The goal is to encourage the community and law enforcement to come together for a proactive approach. The opportunity to discuss these important issues before something happens is vital in today’s uncertain world.

The free training session lasts about one hour (depending on how much participation the audience gives) with open discussion after. This community service event will be held in Elson Hall Room 176 at the Zanesville campus on Newark Road.
