College of Fine Arts (CoFA) employees updated their website using Adobe Contribute, which is a content management system for use with sites built in Dreamweaver. In order to update the site, content contributors needed to understand quite a bit of html in order to make simple changes and updates to the website and the college only had access to a few license for that software.
The college wanted to build the site on Commonspot so that the site could be updated more easily by non-technical staff who received Commonspot training. The site also needed a design update.
CoFA needed a unique look and feel for each school in the college.
CoFA met with Web Services to see if Commonspot could meet their specialized needs for a website. They hired a company in Columbus called Sync to create the look and feel for the website and the Web Services team was able to build elements that not only made the site look and function according to the design, but also could be adapted for other college sites.
The site provides Google Analytics so CoFA can keep track of how its target audience uses the site. They are able to make timely updates to the site without requiring knowledge of html or other web development languages and the site is in compliance with university style and branding requirements.
