HTC - Voinovich School Undergraduate Research Scholars
The HTC - Voinovich School Undergraduate Research Scholars program is a cooperative effort of the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College.
The mission of the Undergraduate Research Scholars program is to encourage undergraduate research and support research efforts of Voinovich School faculty and professional staff. Each year since 1995, the Voinovich School has awarded 10 to 20 Honors Tutorial College and departmental honors students the opportunity to participate in basic and applied research. Scholar positions are awarded on a competitive basis.
Student participation in the scholars program contributes to career preparation by affording scholars an opportunity to participate in “real world” projects and to work as a valued colleague on a research team. Service to the region is primary to the research efforts of the various Voinovich School units.
Over the past 14 years, more than 170 students have participated in the HTC - Voinovich School Undergraduate Research Scholars program. Scholars represent a wide range of disciplines from political science to environmental and plant biology, journalism to business administration.
Recruitment for Undergraduate Research Scholars for the 2014-15 academic year is not yet underway. Application details can be found here in the future.
