Sarah Helenberger is a Master of Environmental Studies candidate. Helenberger graduated from Ohio University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in environmental conservation, geography and recreation. She also completed a Spanish minor and an environmental studies certificate. Her research interests include environmental justice, environmental peacebuilding, organic food, sustainable and conservation agriculture and anthropogenic impacts on biodiversity. She is also a graduate assistant with Dr. Natalie Kruse Daniels, works on the Westside Community Garden Project and is brainstorming thesis ideas revolving around community and food or environmental peacebuilding with marginalized communities. In her free time, she enjoys modeling, cooking, baking and hiking.
