Sarah Mitchell joined the Voinovich School in 2017 as an executive training coordinator for the new George V. Voinovich Academy of Excellence in Public Service. In this capacity, she develops, markets and implements customized non-degree programs and professional certificate programs in areas such as public leadership, innovation and talent management.
Mitchell is currently completing her Ph.D. at Ohio University, with concentrations in history and health communications. Mitchell received a B.A. in anthropology from George Mason University and both an M.A. in history and an M.S. in science and technology studies from Virginia Tech. Mitchell previously worked as an instructor in the history department at Virginia Tech. Prior to taking her position at the Voinovich School, she worked as an academic skills instructor and advisor for Ohio University’s Academic Advancement Center.
