This project explored how parents in the Southeastern Ohio region talk about mental health and mental health services in order to improve mental health services utilization. Focus groups with parents were conducted in three Southeastern Ohio counties. The project approach was informed by Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and engaged mental health and other health professionals in data interpretation and analysis. The work was based upon a request by Integrating Professionals for Appalachian Children (IPAC) and Ohio University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUCOM).
