Voinovich School Lunch and Learn session features HAPCAP's Kelly Hatas

Kelly Hatas, executive director at Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) and MPA alumnae, will speak at the first installment of the fall 2020 Voinovich School virtual Lunch and Learn session on Friday, September 25 from 12 – 1 p.m. about her work and various programs focused on improving quality of life in southeastern Ohio.

The session will be held virtually via Zoom on September 25.

The presentation will focus on Hatas’ role as HAPCAP executive director and the programs she facilitates to improve quality of life in southeastern Ohio through work in housing, transportation, food and nutrition and utilities. Recently, HAPCAP has pivoted to respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on vulnerable communities.

Hatas earned her bachelor’s degree from Shawnee State University in 2007 and her Master of Public Administration from the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in 2012. During her academic career, she served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA through Ohio Campus Compact. She has been working with HAPCAP since 2011, serving as executive director since 2018.
